Robert N. "Bob" Heisey III of St. Charles Robert N. "Bob" Heisey III died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, in the loving care of his family. He was born to Robert and Esther Heisey II on Jan. 21, 1929, in Kansas City, MO. Bob enlisted in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Aucilla. Following his service in the Navy, he worked for the CB&Q Railroad for a number of years. He served on the Oak Park Fire Department for over 30 years, where he earned the respect and admiration of those with whom he served, attaining the final rank of captain, before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Jeffrey Heisey, Mary Skelton, Lois Heisey, Kathryn Heisey, Howard (Tracy) Heisey and Janet (Anthony) LoPresti; 11 grandchildren, Timothy, Nicole, Jeremy, Eric, Jessica, Tyler, Sarah, Matthew, Samantha, Shannon and Anthony; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ethan; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert N. Heisey IV; and three sisters, Alice Ronan, Lorraine Lammers, Edna Pell. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174. A celebration of a funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
