Robert W. Carter Robert W. Carter, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at his home. He was born May 29, 1935 in Evanston and had been a Libertyville resident since 1977. Bob attended the University of Washington in Seattle and was an army veteran, having served with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a retired 42 year employee of an Industrial Engineering Firm called the Lindberg Corporation and was a member of the American Society of Metals. He enjoyed sailing, golf and walking the beaches in Florida. Surviving are his wife Gloria Carter; 2 sons, Robert (Peggy) Carter of Mundelein and William Carter of Dallas, TX; 13 Grandchildren and his brother Richard (Natalie) Carter of Batavia; also surviving are Gloria's children, Ronald (Melody) Domanico of Atlanta, GA, Peter Domanico and Blase Domanico, both of San Jose, CA and Lisa Domanico Fitzgerald of Johnsburg, IL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane Carter in 1993. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:30 p.m. on Sat. July 6, 2013 at the Burnett-Dane Funeral Home Ltd., 120 W. Park Ave. (Route 176, one block west of Milwaukee Ave.), Libertyville. US Army military honors will follow the service.
