Thomas Wolff Dickens Thomas Wolff Dickens, 75, of St. Charles, Illinois and Fontana, Wisconsin passed away, Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Mr. Dickens was born in Aurora, Illinois on August 30, 1937. Tom was a lifelong resident of the Fox River Valley area. Mr. Dickens enlisted in the Army in 1957 and worked in the military intelligence at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. After three years of service, he attended college, earning his bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College. Tom worked for over fifty years in the printing paper industry traveling throughout the world. He was highly regarded for his expertise and technical knowledge of coated paper printing. After retiring from Crown Vantage he established a successful consulting business. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Tom was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva, Illinois. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Jill; son David (Lynn) Dickens of Hudson, OH; daughter, Deborah "Daisy" (Neal) Collins of St. Charles, IL; grandchildren Hunter Collins, Blake Dickens, Colin Dickens and Alec Dickens; brother John (Christina) Dickens and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Wolff Dickens and father William MacRae Dickens. A mass will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 29th at St. Peter Catholic Church in Geneva, Illinois. A private burial will follow.
