Victor James Logan Victor James Logan, 86, a 50-year resident of Glen Ellyn, passed away Feb.21 at Arden Courts. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Grace Logan, nee Eakes, daughters Gloria Ruby of Downers Grove and Brenda (Robert) O'Brien of Naperville, son Andrew Logan of Seattle, grandchildren Jennifer (Dennis) O'Kane of Wisconsin, Jason (Tonya) Logan, Jennifer (Thomas) Volcko, and Julie (Scott) Gemes, all of Missouri, plus several great-grandchildren. He also leaves his brother John (Despina) Logan, Jr. of Athens, Greece, and nephew George (Judith) Logan of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki (Charles) Blakely of Wisconsin. Air Corps during World War II
. He received a BA degree in Economics from Brown University, an MS in Industrial Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology,and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. Early experiences working in factories stimulated a life-long interest in manufacturing and eventually led him to a career as a management consultant. A life-member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Victor wrote many articles aimed at the improvement of American industry. A lover of choral singing and symphonic music, building and fixing things, tent-camping with the children, and traveling the world with Grace, Vic's last years were hampered by macular degeneration and Alzheimer's disease. His life will be celebrated in a memorial service at 11:30 AM on Sat., March 9, at Christ Community Church, 602 E. Geneva Rd., Wheaton. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM.
