DANIEL F. GANDOLFO Sr.

Daniel F. Gandolfo Sr. of Warrenville, formerly of Lisle Daniel F. Gandolfo Sr., 85, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Westmont Care Center, Westmont, Ill. He was born June 17, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was the cherished father of Carolynn Gandolfo, Daniel F. (Pam) Gandolfo Jr., Ron (Teresa) Gandolfo, David Gandolfo and Michelle Gandolfo; grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of 12; and fond brother of Ruth and Dave. A special mention to his best friend, Gypsy. Daniel was a proud U.S. Naval World War II veteran. He was a retired cement mason of 40 years from Local #803. He was a former Lisle VFW Post commander. Memorial visitation will be Thursday, July 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Road (corner of Routes 30 and 59), Plainfield, IL 60544. Family and friends will gather Friday, July 27, at 1:30 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421, for interment and military honors.
