I met Maryjo at Advocate Condell Hospital where I teach yoga. Maryjo was my favorite student and she taught me so much. Not only did Maryjo work hard, she had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind word for everyone. She and I shared a common Italian Heritage and we had many conversations about being Italian, cooking, family. I miss her very much.

I don't know where to start with any one memory of Maryjo. Maryjo was such a character that at any given time you were with her, a new anecdote, family history, craft, or discussion on books, politics, or family would come up. Maryjo was a co-worker for 13years at LHS. She was a treasure to the students in the Computer Lab, and she was a treasure to me as a founding member of Random Readers. From 2004, Maryjo coordinated, developed our website, initiated our field trips, and led our group of readers. I will cherish all of these great times together.
I am so sorry for John and her extended family. Maryjo truly is a gift to all of us. May she rest in peace.

John, Joey and Family, please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of Maryjo. Her no nonsense views were wrapped around her generous and accepting heart. When I came to LHS 11 years ago, she welcomed me, befriended me and entertained me until her retirement and beyond. She will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Maryjo's family on the loss their loved one. Special prayers to Donna Hartnett, MaryJo' loving, forever giving sister, who made many trips out to be with Maryjo when everyone thought it was the end. But MaryJo was a fighter, & she fought to the bitter end, lasting months and months longer than expected. Never complaining, always giving,Donna disrupted her own family's life to be there to unselfishly help her sister. Blessings to you, Donna!

Dear Robins and Simone families;
Please accept my deepest condolences in the loss of Maryjo.
Maryjo and I were lunch mates during our time at LHS. She always had "words of wisdom"she was willing to share. She was a force of nature and a true character.
Rest in Peace Maryjo.

Good-bye Maryjo. You were an inspiration to me, a Renaissance woman of sorts. Was there anything you couldn't do and do it extraordinarily well? You fought with grace and courage that demon cancer. Now the battle is over and you can rest in the loving arms of our Lord.
