The last thing she ever said to me was "you're awesome"
February 6, 2019
Lauren, you were my best friend. You were everyone's best friend. You always smiled at me, waved at me, complimented me at every chance you got. Lauren was the best person I had ever met. 2 years ago in fourth grade, I was sitting in the hallway doing work by myself. Lauren was in the classroom directly next to mine, so I frequently saw her walking down the hall. On that day, I heard the last words I would ever hear from her. Those words will never be forgotten. She waved and smiled at me, and as she walked away, she said the last thing I'd ever hear her say. Those words were "you're awesome."
Rest in peace

Sweetest Lauren. You left an imprint on all those you met. For me, I'll never forget our first day meeting you as your nurse and watching you grow into such a brave and incredible girl. This is a big loss not only for your family but your community and Advocate Children's Hospital. My heart is with your mom, dad, twin, brother, and sister. They are incredibly strong people going through heartbreak for which no words will help right now. Much love to them.

Graver family,
We were so saddened to hear the news of Lauren's passing this week.
Know that she will be with you always....she will live on in spirit and you'll see that often in the things and people around you.
We pass along this healing Psalm:
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
As the passing days turn into months and years, you will certainly grow to understand what God means when He says 'Do not be not afraid, I am with you....'
May the good Lord bring you peace and comfort this week and during the sorrowful days ahead. May you be blessed each day with healing memories.
Our hearts are heavy today. We will keep Lauren, the family and friends in our daily prayers.
May the Peace and Grace of God be with you today and every day.

From one family of Hawks fans to another, our heartfelt condolences in this difficult time. I saw Lauren on TV with Edzo at the HFC game and was heartbroken to hear of her passing. My superstition is to never wear Hawks gear on game day. Today I will proudly wear it in honor of your daughter. God bless you all.
