GEORGE LABBE Obituary

George C. Labbe Jr. a longtime Itasca resident Visitation for George C. Labbe Jr., 71, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 9 a.m. until the service at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment will be in Irving Park Cemetery. Mr. Labbe was a retired 27-year typesetter/ composer for the Chicago Tribune. He was an avid trolley and train supporter. He was the loving husband of Karen (nee Korner); greatest dad of Elizabeth (Joe) Crandall and Mark; sweetest grandpa of Hayley; dear brother of Grace Stasica; fond uncle of Sherrie (Marty) Shields, Thomas (Lori Stasica and Todd (Cheri) Stasica; and great-uncle of seven. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's name to the East Troy Railroad Museum, would be appreciated. For information, 630-250-8588 or www.theoaksfh.com.
