Leonard Didier Obituary

Leonard Didier formerly of Wheeling and Des Plaines A funeral Mass for Leonard Didier, 77, of Burlington, Ky., formerly of Wheeling and Des Plaines, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Mary Church, Prairie at Pearson, Des Plaines. Born Dec. 24, 1924, in Niles, he died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Prior to his retirement in 1989, Mr. Didier had owned Da-Lite Bleach in Wheeling for 40 years. He was a World War II veteran of the Navy Seabees and a member of the Park Ridge VFW post. Surviving are his wife, Lois Didier (nee Collet) of Burlington; daughter, Jean (Allan) Hale of Florence, Ky.; grandsons, Dr. David (Alice) Hale and Thomas (Sara) Hale; brothers Irvin (Nancy) Didier of Glenview, Thomas (Dorothy) Didier of Austin, Texas, John (the late JoAnne) Didier of Roscoe, Ill.; and sisters Magdeline (the late David) Ott of Roscoe, Susan (Richard) Rowland of Bensenville and Kathleen Mueller of Des Plaines. He was preceded in death by his brothers Leo, Robert and Steven Didier; and sister Patricia Didier. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines. Memorials may be made to the Women's Relief Corps, Grand Army Memorial Building, 629 Seventh Ave., Springfield, IL 62903.
