Young (nee Laurence), 64, will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with services at 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/ Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. Father Tilemahos Alikakos will officiate. Interment will be private. Born Jan. 11, 1948, in Evanston, she passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, in Arlington Heights. Bette was a customer service agent for United Airlines for 34 years. In her younger years, she was considered one of the top amateur bowlers in Chicago. She was the wife for 30 years of Gene M. Young; mother of Patti L. Bountinas; grandmother of Samantha and Alex; sister of Judy Ladendorf; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
