Carol May Hemmeter formerly of Mount Prospect Carol May Hemmeter (nee Faulstich) passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012. Carol was born May 16, 1932. She was a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. and taught primary grades at St. Paul Lutheran School. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Hemmeter; loving mother of Jennifer Stadler and Ruth (John) Jani; devoted grandmother of Stephen, Eric and Coley Stadler; cherished sister of Jean Hildebrandt, Ada Jessup, Ruth Shroyer and Joyce Jacox; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her "Grandkitty", Molly. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 S. School St., Mount Prospect, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Illinois Foundation appreciated.
