CHARLES ZINE

Obituary Condolences

ELGIN - Charles Zine, age 84, a former many year resident of Carpentersville, passed away on Christmas evening, at the Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. Charlie was born on September 1,1929 in Chicago, the son of the late Joseph & Katherine (nee Wakin) Zine. On November 5, 1955 he married Mary J. "Jody" Hennigan. Charlie was a former many year resident of Carpentersville, a former many year Carpentersville Village Trustee, and a former member of the Carpentersville Zoning Board. He was a Korean War veteran having proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Mary "Jody". Their seven children: Dorothy (Kim) Bruhn, Charlie (Donna) Zine, Cathy Woodhouse, David (Jill) Zine, Joseph (Katherine) Zine, Matthew Zine and Kari (Rich) Cotton. Charlie is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his two brothers and seven sisters. Funeral Services with military honors will be held on Monday evening at 7:30 PM at the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
