DAVID C. WILSON Obituary
David C. Wilson of Wheaton David C. Wilson, 82, passed away on Oct. 21, 2012, after an extended illness. Dave was born on June 26, 1930, in Mount Vernon, NY, to Gerald Wilson and Ella (Baxter Close) Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy Wilson (nee Linton); his children, Daniel (Emily) Wilson of Granville, OH, Laura (Jerry) Kolb of Peoria, IL, Thomas (Holly) Wilson of Wheaton and Cynthia (Terry) Meier of Naperville; his grandchildren, Molly and Charlie Wilson, Mercedes and Kasey Kolb, David and Cooper Wilson, and Matthew, Patrick, Melanie and Natalie Meier; his brother, Robert G. Wilson of Key Biscayne, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Dave attended Haverford College. In the early 1950s, he made public appearances with Buffalo Bob Smith as Clarabell the Clown in the New York area. He spent his career in the capital equipment industry. Dave had instrumental roles in a number of local causes including the school district consolidation, and most proudly his memorabilia contributions to the Red Grange Heritage Gallery. He was an ardent Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks fan, always looking forward to next year. Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family and attending his children's and grandchildren's events. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N. West St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Guests are invited to offer condolences to the family one hour before the memorial service.
