Thank you for sharing Florance, we never heard him mention his playing piano. It may explain why I wanted to learn at one time.

Did you know that Donald played the piano? I remember a recital given at St Patrick's School in Monona, Iowa in June probably in 1944 or 1948, I can't remember the year, but...
I do remember Donald and Darwin at one piano and Dwayne Palas and one other boy at another piano. They played a march and started off very stately; but as they progressed they played faster and faster. The audience was thrilled, clapping for all they were worth. It is a priceless memory.
