Dorothy "Dot" West Wehrli formerly of Naperville Dorothy "Dot" West Wehrli (Dieter), 89, a resident of Lynchburg, VA, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at her home with family by her side. She was born May 7, 1923, in Chicago, IL. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Joseph "Joe" Wehrli Jr., loving mother of Ronald "Ron" Wehrli of Oswego, IL and Sharyn Wehrli (Bill) Behnke of Lynchburg, VA; adored grandmother of David (Sara) Behnke, Steve Behnke, Matthew (Michelle) Behnke and Joseph (Happy) Wehrli; cherished great-grandmother of Anna, Cade, Colton and Chase Behnke; devoted daughter of the late William and Marie (nee Arp) West; dear sister of the late Lawrence West; and admired sister-in-law and fond aunt of many. Dot was born in Chicago, grew up in Maywood, IL and married her high school sweetheart, Joe Wehrli, from Naperville. Most of her working years were spent as Harold Moser's secretary and later in life she was able to open her own clothing boutique, "Cardot" in downtown Naperville, which she ran for a decade before retiring to Virginia to be near several of her grandchildren. Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A funeral Mass will be Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Interment following Mass at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery. A luncheon to follow at the Naperville VFW.
