Elizabeth J. Moore Elizabeth J. Moore (nee Youngberg) "Betty Jo," 81, of Kenosha, Wis. died Sunday, April 29, 2012, after her long courageous battle with cancer; her daughters were by her side.She was born on March 29, 1931, in Evanston, Ill., to Harry and Elizabeth (Wood) Youngberg. Betty lived in Evanston, Gages Lake, Waukegan, Ill., and Scottsdale Ariz. She was always busy raising her four children, volunteering at her children's schools and the women's club at her church, and working at Warren Township High School. Betty enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. with her longtime partner, Bob, making many friends along the way. She enjoyed playing the One-Arm Bandit in Vegas, one of her favorite destinations. Betty never complained about her illness or the pain she was in. She told everyone she was fine and enjoyed each day until the end. "It is hard to describe such a remarkable person in just a few words. We will miss and love her, but she will live on through the many wonderful memories she gave us. She will be in our hearts forever." Betty is survived by her daughters, Linda (Richard Kanas) Moore of Libertyville Ill., Terry (Monty) Fennell (nee Moore) of Beach Park, Ill., and Christine (Alan) Wilhelm (nee Moore) of Waukegan, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca (Don) Hendrix of Texas; sisters, Jean Jorgenson, Janet (Albert) Wendt; special cousins, Marge (Clare) Schildgen, Sharon Sharpe; grandchildren, Bryan, Nicholas, Nathan, Patrick, Sarah, Ranell, Leia; and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her best friend and partner, Bob Benning; son, John M. Moore; and parents, Harry and Elizabeth Youngberg. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m., with a memorial service at 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 Cemetery Road, Gurnee.
