Evelyn B. Stefani of Inverness Evelyn B. Stefani (nee Kuznicki), 92, was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Chicago, and she passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Evelyn took great pride in being the accountant of her father's construction business. Some of her passions included ballroom dancing with Gino, tending to her French garden and her love for animals. Evelyn is survived by her cherished friends, Sophie and Lisa; was cared for lovingly by Iris; devoted companion, Roo; and her special Inverness "Birthday Group." She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gino, whom she married on Sept. 16, 1950; and stepsiblings, Gloria Patrick and Charles "Bud" Wilson. Visitation will be Monday, April 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Her funeral will be Tuesday, April 10, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church, for Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines.
