Gerard C. "Jerry" Kehl Sr. of Des Plaines since 1965 Gerard C. "Jerry" Kehl Sr., 77, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Dolores "Dee" (nee Mc Cormick); loving father of Michael (Dierdre Simo) Kehl, Timothy (Patricia) Kehl, Keith (Laura) Kehl and the late Gerard "Jerry" Jr. (Lisa) Kehl; proud grandfather of Amy, Dana, Tim, Samantha, Madison and Alissa; and dear brother of the late Robert (Jean) Kehl. Jerry was a lifelong tool and die maker in the baking industry. He was also a former member of the Des Plaines Moose Lodge. He was a bowling instructor and enjoyed NASCAR and loved his grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, beginning at 3 until 8 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, Ill. A funeral service will be Friday, April 20, beginning at 12 noon at funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Seasons Hospice or Victory Junction.org.
