Dear Billye,
Jodi sent me the note of your husband's passing. I am so sorry to hear the news. I had planned to go to the wake today, but I have come down with a bad cold so didn't think that would be the right thing to do. I do want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers for you and your family. LIPEO, Linda Glaser, (St. Charles, IL)

Billye,
Although I only knew Herb a short time
I will miss Herbs smile and comments at the Train Club's meetings and operating sessions. He was liked and respected by everyone at the club. My thoughts and prayers will be with you through this difficult time.

Billye ,
I am so sorry to hear of Herbs passing. You were always like my second parents as I grew up a few houses down and always enjoyed my visits to you when I was back in Elgin visiting my parents. Herbs passion for his trains was always entertaining. Know I have you in my heart and prayers during this difficult time.

Billie,
I am so sorry to hear of Herb's passing. He was such a driving spirit in all he did, and was just one of those people we assumed would always be there. Please know that we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers, and that we will think of Herb each time we see a train pass by.

Dear Billye,
I have kept up with you and Herb through Kay and have enjoyed so much knowing about your new house and all. I am so sad to hear of Herb's passing. I know that this will be a terrible blow for you. I cherish the many memories of our shared lives in U-46. We will be thinking of you, dear firend. Jan Lochary

I just learnt of the passing of Herb, please accept our deepest condolences. I had known Herb since the time he was Bureau Chief of Local Roads in Elgin District. I have had the pleasure of riding with him to Springfield to see some old friends and those memories will remain with me for a long time to come. No doubt we will miss him.

Dear Billie, We were surprised and schocked to hear about Herb. It was my pleasure to have known Herb as the consultant but even more so whle being a part of the HLR family. We were always impressed with his spirit, knowlege, humor and compassion. He was a true gentleman. He will be missed by all. You stay well. Gary and Kathy Miller
