John J. O'Brien of Wheaton John J. O'Brien III, 87, formerly of Omaha, Barrington and Elmhurst, was the beloved husband of Genevieve Marie (nee Novotny); loving father of Janine M. (Michael) Bridges of Olney, Ill., Jeanne M. (James) Poe of Wheaton and Janice M. (Robert) Coopman of Plano, Texas; and loving grandfather of Brandon (Michelle) Bridges, Shannon (Izaak) Bridges, Sarah and Rachel Poe, and Michael and Steven Coopman. Mr. O'Brien was a World War II combat decorated Army infantry and Air Force veteran. He was a former member of the Union League Club of Chicago, Omaha Press Club, and American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
