Obituary Condolences

Julian D. "Tupe" Imhoff of West Dundee Julian D. "Tupe" Imhoff, age 72, passed away peacefully, Tuesday morning at his home surrounded by family. Tupe was born on August 27, 1940 in Dundee Township, the son of the late Henry & Ella P. (nee Austin) Imhoff. On October 14, 1967, he married Patricia A. Murphy. Patty preceded Tupe in death on August 27, 2002 after 34 years of marriage. Tupe was a life long resident of the Dundee area and 1958 graduate of Dundee Community High School and a United States Army Veteran. Tupe worked in construction sales for all of his professional career and retired after 20 years of service with CCS West Construction. Survivors include his (3) daughters: Jill (Jim) Rocheford, Sara (Scott) Gibbons and Ann (Troy) Oates. Tupe is also survived by his (4) grandsons: Ben, Sam,Jake and Josh. Other survivors include his longtime companion: Grace Martinez. His sister: Genevieve (the late Bob) Engelbrecht, His brothers: Ben (Kathleen) Imhoff, and George (Betty) Imhoff. His brother-in-law: Michael (Mary Kay) Murphy, a sister-in-law: Molly Murphy as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Tupe was preceded in death by his brother: Russ Imhoff and sisters: LuVerne McManaman and Flora Coon. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. The Rev. Steve Mindrup will officiate. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens in West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the JourneyCare Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
