JUNE LUCILLE LARSON-AYERS Obituary
June Lucille Larson-Ayers June Lucille Larson-Ayers, 79, of Victoria, BC and Penn Valley, CA died peacefully in Grass Valley, CA on Aug. 2, 2012, with her family by her side. She was born Jan. 9, 1933, in Platte, SD. June was the daughter of the late Mary Harding and Howard Nicholson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, George "Bob" Long; first husband of 38 years, Richard F. Larson; and brother, Thomas Nicholson. June is survived by her husband of 13 years, Maurice J. Ayers of Victoria, BC; her children, Danette Harttert of Green Lake, WI, Paul Larson (Michael McWalters) of Alviso, CA, Suzie Nolle (Rick) of Penn Valley, CA, Rich Larson (Julia) of Woodland, CA, Wade Larson (Susan) of Elgin, IL and Peter Larson (Becky Mach) of Bartlett, IL; her grandchildren, Lisa Daye, Paige Chaney, Bret Harttert, Sam Larson and Jake Larson; sister, Marilyn Chapman; stepchildren, Karen, Collin and Brian Ayers and stepgrandchildren, Lauren, Michael and Alicia. June also leaves behind great-grandchildren, family and friends. June graduated from the Ravenswood School of Nursing, Chicago, IL in 1954. She was a dedicated R.N. at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL until her retirement in 1992. June dedicated her life to her family and the community. She selflessly spent her life giving back to others through her church and through community service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kiwanis Club of Oak Bay, 2075 Milton St., Victoria, BC, V8R 1N8 Canada, in memory of June Larson-Ayers.
