Obituary Condolences

Lucile Swanson Turner of Windsor Park in Carol Stream Lucile Swanson Turner, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, died Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Windsor's Johnson Healthcare Center at the age of 91. She had been a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream for the past 11 years. Lucile was born in Anoka, Minn., on January 4, 1921. When Lucile was three years old her family moved to Minneapolis. She married Eugene Turner in 1944 and they shared life together until his death in 2009. She was a wonderful wife, homemaker, church worker, and legal secretary. Lucile was always active in church as a Sunday School teacher and church librarian. In 1984 she and Eugene moved to Wheaton to be close to family. Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; and her five siblings. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy (Ron) Salzman; four grandchildren, Greg (Marcia), Jessy (Daniel) Balma, Joy (Craig) Yerly and Christopher (Betsy) Salzman; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace and Luca Balma, and Lexi and Caleb Salzman; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 W. Main St., Wheaton, on Tuesday, October 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m., at Village Green Baptist Church in Glen Ellyn. Interment is private in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Benevolent Fund at Windsor Park, 124 Windsor Park Dr., Carol Stream, IL 60188. Family and friends may sign a guest book at hultgrenfh.com.
