Marian Ruth Crocker Marian Ruth Crocker, 86, of the Holmstad Retirement Community in Batavia, passed away April 27, 2012, at Michealsen Health Center in Batavia. She was born July 30, 1925, in St. Louis, Mo., the only child of Russell and Ethel (nee Kreuger) Goin Marian married her high school sweetheart, Harold Crocker, on March 1, 1946, in St. Louis. She lived most of her life in Florissant, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis, where she raised her three children. In 2004 she made the difficult decision to leave the St. Louis area to move to the Holmstad to be nearer her daughters. Marian quickly made many new friends. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Edward) Cave of Batavia and Jan (Robert) Beverly of Lindenhurst; grandchildren, Laura (Todd) Smith of Geneva and Sean Beverly of Chicago; great-granddaughters, Casey and Tori Kirsch of Geneva; and her dear friend, Earl Pederson of the Holmstad. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Gary Crocker. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Holmstad Park Manor, 700 W. Fabyan Parkway, Batavia.
