MARY ALICE KALITZKY Obituary
Mary Alice Kalitzky Mary Alice Kalitzky (formerly Robinson) passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2013; she was born on July 26, 1944 in Danville, IL. Mary lead a very active life in the community but her family always came first. Some her activities included: Member of the Wheaton North HS Booster Club president for two years and Concession Stand Chairperson for 17 years; Member of Chicago Jaycee Auxiliary for 4 yrs. including President for 1 yr.; Member of Sandburg Elementary School PTA for 19 years including President twice; member of District 200 PTA Council; Member of Wheaton Juniors Women's Club including serving as VP and President; former member of the Jefferson Early Childhood School PTA Board. She also served as an active member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Winfield, IL including member of Consensus Committee for the Mission and Vision; PADS volunteer and a member of the Parish Council. Mary graduated from the University of Illinois in '66 (Alumni Life Member) and used her talents as a Speech Pathologist in school districts Naperville ('67-'71); McAuley school ('73-'77) and District 200 ('88-'06) where she was one of the founding teachers of the Jefferson Early Childhood Learning Center where she gave her students a voice and their families hope. She enjoyed book club, bridge, cooking, cross stitch, quilt making, the ILLINI, travel and most of all family and friends. Mary is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alan; her 4 children (spouse): Jennifer Paras (Bob), Amy Ballance (Matt), Melissa Somerville (Andrew) and AJ Kalitzky (Lexi); as well as her 13 grandchildren, Madison-16, Mackenzie-14, Noah-14, Jackson-12, Alaina-10, Joey and Lennon-7, Ava, Ophelia and Aubrey-5, Jonah-3, Emerson-1 and Kate-2mo. She is also survived by her 3 siblings Nancy Wright, Margaret Kaya and Joseph Robinson. Visitation will be at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL from 2 to 8 pm on Sunday, July 21, 2013. A mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church in Winfield on Monday, July 22 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mary Kalitzky's name to either St. John the Baptist Church, for the restoration of the Ways of the Cross, 0S233 Church St., Winfield, IL 60190 phone 630-668-0918 or to Jefferson Early Childhood Foundation, for technology needs, 130 N.
