Michael B. Kwasman of West Chicago Michael B. Kwasman, mayor of West Chicago, was born June 28, 1946, in Chicago and passed away April 17, 2012, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 29 years to Crystal (nee Howerton); loving father of Ronald Kwasman; beloved son of the late Estelle and Dan Kwasman; dear brother of Steve (Gayle) Kwasman and Marla (Marty) Bett; loving brother-in-law of Sheila (Tom) Metten, Mark (Donna) Howerton and Cathy (Rick) Markee; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to DuPage Veterans Foundation Honor Flight, P.O. Box 299, Wheaton, IL 60187 would be greatly appreciated. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, April 22, from 1 p.m. until Words of Remembrance at 4 p.m. at West Chicago Community High School, 326 Joliet St., West Chicago. Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations, Ltd. and Memorial Chapel, 630-293-5200.
