Dear Barb and Family, My prayers are with you during your time of mourning. Mike and I started at MPPD within weeks of each other, almost 40 years ago. We worked the same shift on the south side of MP for most of our time together. I will never forget the many great moments we shared: fishing trips to Minnesota, golf at Old Orchard, cocktails at Evan's, running down fleeing criminals just to mention a few. Mike was a special guy, I will miss him!

Dear Barb & Family,

My most sincere sympathies. I was the receptionist at Grainger while Mike was in security. Thanks to him and Hal, I was never without a laugh (or a dull moment).

So sorry for your loss - my prayers are with you all.

Respectfully,
Carrie Espinosa (Pefley)

Mike was a great guy, he always had a special talent for cutting through the nonsense and getting right to the point (usually with a little smirk or laugh). I appreciate all the good times we had together (on and off the job)and know that anyone who had the honor of being considered Mike's friend will remember his generosity and warmth. Mike never asked for anything but would share everything, I will miss him.

I worked with Mike for several years before his retirement. He was a damn fine cop. If you were in trouble, having him arrive as your back-up was a blessing. I was also fortunate enough to spend some time with him hunting and fishing in northern Minnesota. Mike was a good guy. He will be sorely missed.

Mike was a good friend. Although we didn't see each other much over the past few years, I have a lot of good memories to remind me of him. He was always there if I needed him. And for a guy that didn't say much, we shared a lot of laughs together. He will truly be missed.
