Obituary Condolences

Dr. Michael Paul Wiggins Dr. Michael Paul Wiggins of Fort Collins, Colo., passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011, in Windsor, Colo. Michael was born to William and Suzanne Wiggins on June 24, 1968, in Chicago. He grew up in Schaumburg, Ill. and graduated from Schaumburg High School in 1986. Michael received his undergraduate degree in exercise physiology and kinesiology from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at the University of Illinois. Michael completed his residency with the University of Colorado at Rose Medical Center, where he met his wife, Jacquelene "Jackie." They were married Aug. 30, 1997, and together had three beautiful daughters, Jessica, Alyssa and Christa. Dr. Wiggins built a very successful family practice in the Loveland area with Banner Health. Michael was past president of the Larimer County Medical Society and a member of the Big Thompson Medical Group Board. He was active with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps of Rosemont, Ill. as a former marching member and drum major and most recently as a volunteer medical advisor to the corps. Michael was also a member of Timberline Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle of seven and physician. He is survived by his wife, daughters and parents. Michael is also survived by his brother, Bill (Cindy) of Carpentersville, Ill.; his sister LuAnn (Bobby) of Orlando, Fla.; mother-in-law, Marie Carey and sister-in-law, Jaelynne, both of Canada. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 3, at Timberline Church, 2908 S. Timberline Road, Fort Collins.
