1938 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
EAST DUNDEE - Monique M. Adams, nee Monica Marie Schneider, 76, died Saturday August 30, 2014; peacefully at home, with family. She was born on January 31, 1938, to George W. and Harriet E. (nee Gross) Schneider, in Menominee, Michigan. She moved with her family to Green Bay, Wisconsin, and graduated from West HS in 1956, hen from UW Madison,1960, and received her Masters in Library Science there in 1961. She served over 30 years as a professional librarian. She met her husband, the late Richard A. Adams, and they were married in Chicago on September 22, 1984, and were happily married until his death on August 1, 2004. She is survived by a brother, David G. (Diane) of Green Bay, and two sisters, Jean M. (Carl) Hoes of DePere, Wisconsin, and Margaret M. (John) Kirschbaum of Porterfield, Wisconsin; also by her sister-in-law Judy Schneider of Appleton Wisconsin, and six nieces and five nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and some great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her four stepchildren, Elizabeth A. (Richard) Terrell of Hampshire, Illinois, Franklin T. (Suzanne) Adams-Watters of DeKalb, Illinois, Robert J. (Deborah) Adams of West Bloomfield, Michigan, and Sam (Arthur Lanham) Adams-Lanham of Dundee Illinois, along with 8 stepgrandchildren and 4 great-stepgrandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Gregory J. Schneider, of Appleton, Wisconsin. There will be a Memorial at her home in Dundee, on Thursday September 4, 2014, at 2 pm, with Open House 12 to 5, same day. Her ashes will be interred later with those of her husband, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
