Obituary Condolences

Philip E. Staples of Lake Zurich for nine years Visitation for Philip E. Staples, 65, raised in Spring Valley, MN, will be on Thursday, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Pastor David Larson will officiate. Interment will be private. Born Aug. 9, 1947, in Austin, MN, he passed away in Wheeling, IL on Oct. 8, 2012. Philip was a Vietnam Army veteran. He is survived by his loving companion, Nancy Stironek, and was the cherished father of Tyler D. Staples. He is also survived by his brothers, David (Judy) Staples and Daniel (Lynette) Staples; sisters, Judi (the late Mark) Kirkpatrick and Mary (Christopher) Clark. He was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Bernice Staples; and an infant sister, Joyce. Phil spent his life as the co-owner of Names and Addresses, Inc., a direct marketing firm from 1976 to 2009. Phil was an avid pilot, fisherman and golfer throughout his life, until his valiant battle with Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia no longer allowed these. He remained incredibly strong and loved life. He said his best job was being Tyler's father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J.
