Richard Allen Abbs of Cary A memorial service for Richard Allen Abbs, 64, will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Born April 8, 1947, he passed away Feb. 5, 2012, in Milwaukee, Wis. Mr. Abbs was a Vietnam War veteran, having served in the Navy. He is survived by his son, Chris Abbs; and a stepson, Michael Iommi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Jean (nee Bath) Abbs.
