DES PLAINES - Richard P. Leibach, 75, of Hudson, FL, formerly of Des Plaines, was born July 30, 1938, in Chicago, to the late Edward and Evelyn (nee Butler) Leibach and passed away peacefully on June 6, 2014. Richard was a firefighter with North Maine Fire Department from 1969 until his retirement with the rank of Captain in 1984. In his retirement, he was the volunteer Fire Chief in Mercer, Wisconsin. Richard was the beloved husband of the Maureen nee Shumaker; loving father of Deborah (Joseph) Sarro, Richard P. (Karrie) Leibach Jr., Suzanne (Mark Laatsch) Bond; loving step-father of Ann (Scott) Seaquist, Michael Alonso, David Alonso, Christine (Tom Lydic) Martenson and Elisa (Chris) Estock; cherished grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of 8 and dear brother of Joanne (George) Glynn and the late Kenneth Leibach and Mary Ceil Malecki. Visitation will be Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 3-9 PM at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street (Northwest Highway/ Rt. 14 at Rand Road) Des Plaines where funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13 at 11 AM. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Medi Home Hospice, 10239 Clemson Blvd., Suite 150, Seneca, SC 29678 or National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, P.O.
