Robert J. Flood of Morton Grove for 57 years The visitation for Robert J. Flood, 91, will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Simkins Funeral Home, 6251 Dempster St., Morton Grove. The funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 8149 Golf Road, Niles. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Born Nov. 19, 1920, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at his home in Morton Grove. Mr. Flood was a Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Device AM 220 in the South Pacific in World War II. He was the husband of Patricia (nee Garrity); father of Robert (Susan) of Arlington Heights, Kevin (Michele) of Sleepy Hollow, Mary Pat (Thomas) Knuerr of Rolling Meadows, Colleen (Kirk) Sellars of East Dundee, Brian (Jean) Flood of Elk Grove Village, Thomas (Frances) Flood of Indianapolis, Ind., Michael (Christiane) of Lakewood, Eileen (Dean) Martin of Arlington Heights, James Flood of West Dundee, Daniel (Gail) FLood of Peoria, Ariz. and the late Sheila (Michael) Corrigan of Arlington Heights; grandfather of 46; and great-grandfather of nine.
