Shirley M. MacArthur of Palatine Visitation for Shirley M. MacArthur (nee Wagoner) 86, will be held Thursday, May 3, from 3 to 9 p.,m. at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Her funeral service will be on Friday, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Randhill Park Cemetery. Born June 30, 1925, she died April 29, 2012. Shirley became a registered nurse after attending Augustana Training School of Augustana Hospital in Chicago and later received her BSN from Augustana College. She was the beloved wife of the late Rodger; loving mother of Rodger D. (Karie Peterson) MacArthur, M.D., Diane (James Scollay) MacArthur, and the late Robert MacArthur; cherished grandmother of Rodger and Erika MacArthur; and dear sister of the late Orville Eugene Wagoner.
