Stefan Nabielec a resident of Schaumburg since 1979 Funeral services for Stefan Nabielec, 88, formerly of the Northwest side of Chicago, will be held Tuesday, April 10, beginning with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at Michaels Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road (between Higgins and Irving Park Road), Schaumburg, proceeding to a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Schaumburg. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles. Visitation will be held Monday, April 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Born Sept. 3, 1923, in Poland, he passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 3, 2012. surrounded by his loving family at his home in Schaumburg. Stefan was the adoring husband of 60 years to Maryanne (nee Adamski); loving father of Anne Orford and John (Noreen A. Riccio); fond grandfather of Tristan and Ariana Orford and Michael (Emily O'Keefe) Nabielec; stepgrandfather of Michael Riccio, Joseph Riccio and Dana Riccio; proud great-grandfather of Amina Claire; beloved brother of Tadeusz (Aniela), Stanislawa Pasek, Mieczyslaw, Mary Nabielec (Bolek Gach), the late Janek and the late Wladyslaw; and dear uncle to Peter (Jodie), Mark (Jamie), Richard, Beata (Jeffrey) White, Michael (Halena), Thomas, Maria (Dorian) Swatscheno and Theresa (Jeremy) Fisher.
