TIFFANIE L. RODRIGUEZ Obituary
HUNTLEY - Tiffanie L. Rodriguez, 45, passed away on October 6, 2017 surrounded by her family. Tiffanie was born in McHenry on November 10, 1971 to Tim G. and Beverly R. (nee Krog) Collins. On April 20, 2002 she married Joe E. Rodriguez. Tiffanie received her Bachelor's degree in nursing at Northern Illinois University, and a Master's degree from Benedictine University. Tiffanie was an oncology nurse for 22 years at Lutheran General Hospital. She was one of the first nurses to climb the clinical ladder in oncology by obtaining her OCN certification, becoming a clinician 4, and was the first nurse in the nation to obtain her certification in bone marrow nursing. One of Tiffanie's most proud accomplishments was that she was the only nurse to ever be invited and speak at the Hematology Oncology Symposium. Although she was busy with work and school, she always made time to be a loving mother and wife. Tiffanie's attitude as nurse also reflected in her personal life. She was always positive, caring to all and loved by all. Even in death, Tiffanie was able to save the lives of 16 people by donating her body to Gift of Hope. In addition to her husband and parents, survivors include her children, Ayden, Andrew, Emma; her siblings, Tammi Service, Troy Service; aunt, Barbara (Ray) Seifert; cousin, Rick Siefert; as well as many friends and colleagues. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Jackie Krog; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Al Collins; uncle, Bradley Krog and her cousin, Randy Siefert . Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10 AM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4-9 PM at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin and again on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism speaks. Arrangements by Laird Funeral Home. For information, please call 847-741-8800.
