Obituary Condolences

Virginia L. Aamodt a longtime resident of Wheaton A memorial service for Virginia L. Aamodt, 87, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at College Church in Wheaton, 322 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton. Friends may visit with the family from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 20, in Wheaton Cemetery. Born Dec. 4, 1921, to Delmer and Hazel O. Aamodt, she died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Virginia was a veteran of the Navy, serving during World War II. She worked for 43 years at Pioneer Clubs as an area representative. She was an active member of College Church in Wheaton, where she sang in the choir and worked with the Pioneer Girls. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Aamodt of Georgia; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, James, George and Robert Aamodt.
