Obituary Condolences

Wilbur Everett Brandau of Arlington Heights Wilbur Everett Brandau, 95, died June 13, 2013. Born in Maywood, IL. He served in the Army during World War II in the 11th Armored Division under General Patton in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked for ComEd as a service rep for many years. He loved the Lord Jesus and Faith Church, where he served as a teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He also was on the Men's Bowling League and the Men's Club. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Brandau; father of Alice M. (Rev. David) Stuckmeyer and Delton "Del" Brandau; grandfather of Lisa (Hans) Plichta and Luke Stuckmeyer; great-grandfather of Benjamin Plichta. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 8 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road (½ block east of Route 53), Rolling Meadows. In state Wednesday, 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. For information, 847-253-0224.
