HAROLD E. WEARY Obituary
Harold E. Weary, age 105, Beloved husband of the late Irene Weary nee Eichman. Loving father of Marlys Weary, Sharon (Walter) Frucht, Ronald (Joyce) Weary. Cherished grandfather of David (Alexia) Frucht, Stephen (Brenda) Frucht, Michael (Lisa) Frucht, Lauren (Brian) Cantoni and Rebecca (Paul) Johnson. Devoted great grandfather of Andrew, Annemarie, James, Kate, Nathaniel, Anna, Mark, Emma, Adam, Vivian, Elizabeth and Mitchell. Preceded in death by his parents Viva and Irvine and his brothers Paul, Marion, Melvin, Roger and Robert. Survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends at the Mount Prospect Public Library and Trinity United Methodist Church. Born Oct. 7, 1908, in Republic County, KS, he passed away Feb. 14, 2014, in the Lutheran Home. He was a resident of Mount Prospect since 1961 when he moved from the south side of Chicago, following the move of United Airlines Offices from Midway to O'Hare. Retired Financial Project Manager for United Airlines with 32 years of service. He logged more than 10,000 hours as a volunteer for the Mount Prospect Library and was a member of the Mount Prospect Historical Society. He became an original lifetime member of the Retired United Airlines Employees Association. He volunteered as co-member of the first accounting and audit committee for six years. Also, he was the first treasurer of the Chicago Chapter for five years and a member of the planning committee for 16 years. Visitation Friday, February 21, from 3 to 9 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Hwy.), Mount Prospect. Lying in State Saturday 10 AM until Services at 11 AM, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 605 W. Golf Rd., Mount Prospect. Interment Memory Gardens.
