LOMBARD - William Aloysius "Bill" Ryan 87, of Lombard, beloved husband of Norma (nee Hornstra), passed away on March 22, 2014 at Rush-Copley Hospital in Aurora. He was born October 8, 1926 to Lawrence and Mary "Agnes" (nee Moran) Ryan. Loving father of William of Colorado, Daniel (Gladys "Cindy") of Woodridge, Robert (Maureen) of Lisle, Thomas of Bartlett, Donna of Douglasville, GA, Andrea (Jack) Scheirer of Naperville and the late Timothy; caring grandfather of Melisa Walsheck, Will Ryan, Allen Ryan, and Jack, Valerie and Jessica Scheirer. Survived by his wife of 5 wonderful years, Norma; his sisters Jeanne, Peg and Noreen (Frank) Hoffman and his brothers Jack, Tony and Fr. Steve. Preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mary, his brothers Lawrence, James, and George and his sisters Betty, and Agnes and his previous wives Gladys (nee Vlaciha) and Dorothy (nee Richards). He will be deeply missed by his fellow residents at Beacon Hill where he was the bingo caller, movie night popcorn maker, bartender, and the holiday gift giving committee treasurer, among other things. He loved playing Wii golf and bowling as well as traveling by automobile throughout the country. Visitation will be Wednesday 3 - 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton, IL 60187. Funeral Mass Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 S Main St., Lombard, IL. (Please Meet at Church).
