GLENN N. MADING Obituary
SOUTH ELGIN - Glenn N. Mading, 86, of South Elgin, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014 at JourneyCare in Barrington. He was born on April 16, 1927 in Ottawa, IL. The son of Lowell and Ruth Mading. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during W.W. II, had been a resident of South Elgin for over 41 years, and was employed by Hedlin Dairy for many years before retiring. Glenn was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member of the American Legion Post # 57, and the V.F.W. Post #1307 all of Elgin. Surviving are his wife, Helen Hansen Mading whom he married on March 18, 1972; 3 children, Linda Sue (Ivory) Henderson, David Mading and Sharon Lee (Darrell) Augustine; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; brother, Russell (Linda) Mading and a sister Lola (Don) Jelm; daughter-in-law Krystal Mading of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Mading. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 195 Nesler Rd., Elgin. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and on Friday morning at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
