He was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church of South Elgin, as well as a member of the Faith United Methodist Church of Genoa which he joined after moving to Genoa to be close to family in 2001. Mahlon enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved gardening, golf and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Leola Danner and Carol Troyer. The family would like to thank the Kish Health Systems Hospice for their kind care and compassion shown to Mahlon. A Memorial Service will held on Saturday, May 24, at 2 PM, at the Faith United Methodist Church, 325 S. Stott, Genoa, with the Rev. Melissa Meyers officiating. Fellowship and a time to greet the family will follow in the Church hall.
