TYLER J. SHAW Obituary
WEST DUNDEE - Tyler J. Shaw, age 23, of DeKalb formerly of West Dundee passed away on Friday at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. Tyler was born in Elk Grove Village on January 24, 1991, the son of James R. and Rise' D. (nee Jensen) Shaw. Tyler was a 2009 graduate of H.D. Jacobs High School and attended Elgin Community College where he studied Art. He was a member of The First Congregational Church in West Dundee. Tyler was a very talented artist and was working as a tattoo artist at Out On A Whim Tattoo in DeKalb. Survivors include his mother: Rise' and his brother: Jared. Other survivors include his maternal grandfather Waldean Jensen as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his father, Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Robert and Pauline Shaw and his maternal grandmother: Twilla Jensen. Family and friends will gather for funeral services on Thursday, May 29, at 10 A.M. at the First Congregational Church, 900 S. Eighth St. (Route 31) in West Dundee. The Rev. Aaron James will officiate. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the First Congregational Church, West Dundee and again on Thursday morning from 9 A.M.until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the First Congregational Church of West Dundee or The Tyler J. Shaw Art Scholarship at Elgin Community College.
