LYLE J. TYSON Obituary
EAST DUNDEE - Lyle J. Tyson, age 82, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his home. Lyle was born in Elgin, IL on December 27, 1931, the son of the late Glen and Gladys (nee Brunchon) Tyson. Lyle was a life long resident of the Elgin-Dundee areas. For over 30 years he worked for the A&P Grocery Stores and then for many years worked as an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance. Lyle was a member of the Zion Christian Church of Carpentersville, and a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post # 57. Survivors include his children: Pamela (David) Widder, Lori (Vern) Chance, Scott (Judy) Tyson and Keith (Carrie) Tyson, Bruce (Debra) Burns, Russell Burns, and Nancy (John) Bollman. Lyle is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His sisters: Joann Marshall, Donna (Lee) Schaeffer and Beverly (George) Elliott as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by his first wife: Donna M. Tyson in 1985, his second wife: Elizabeth P. "Bette" Burns Tyson in 2012, his brother and sister-in-law: Glenn and Beverly Tyson, and brother-in-law: Ralph Marshall. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee with Pastor Tom Davis officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
