Obituary Condolences

ST. CHARLES - Bernard "Barney" Kramer, age 97, formerly of Oregon, IL, died June 17, 2014. He was born in Wheaton, IL, to John and Veronica Kramer. He was a farmer in rural Wheaton where he was born. He met his wife Josephine "Boots", in Bloomingdale and was married on November 4, 1942, sharing 71 years of marriage. He served as an aircraft commander on a B-24 in WWII. Following the war he worked for Glen Ellyn Mayflower Moving and Storage as a mover and mechanic, until his retirement. In over 30 years of retirement he was active in his church, gardening, traveling and he enjoyed his grandchildren, He was a man of faith and unconditional love. He is survived by his wife Josephine, 13 children, Priscilla (Wayne) Cole, Bernard, Paul (Nancy), John (Nancy), Joan, William, Eugene (Geri), Rita (Chris) Kelly, Karl, Peggy (Tom) Shannon, Daniel (Deana), Joseph, Anthony (Cheryl), 35 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, brother, Charles, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Inspirations, CNS Hospice, and the staff at Dr. Sanders office. Visitation will be 4-8:00 P.M. Friday June 20, 2014 at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva, IL 60134. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 400 Cedar Street, St. Charles, IL. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Oregon, IL.
