ELGIN - Jean D. Radloff, 89, of Elgin, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Arden Courts, Geneva. She was born August 15, 1924 in Freeport the daughter of Dewey and Nelta Bingaman Gibbs. She married Marvin Radloff on July 14, 1945 and had been a resident of Elgin for most of her life. She had been employed by Sunbeam Bakery and then D.C. Cook Publishing Co. before retiring. She was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Elgin. Surviving are her 2 children, Robert (Dolly) Radloff of Elgin and Catherine (Bill) Hein of Elgin, 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Krista) Hein, Michael (Michelle) Hein, Jeremy (Michelle) Hein, Jennifer (Greg) Kozlowski and Timothy Radloff, 15 great grandchildren and a sister, Georgia (Robert) Koselka of Elgin and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin and 2 sisters, Helen Scherf and Ruth Kerp. She is now at home with her Heavenly Father and together again with her beloved husband. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15 at 1:00 P.M. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2700 W. Highland Ave., Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and on Tuesday from 12:00 NOON until the time of services in the church.
