In the few years that we knew Chuck as a fellow "inmate" of The Garlands we had a great deal of delight in the pleasure of his ever-ebullient company.
Our most enjoyable and intimate experience with Chuck occured when we cast him as the romantic lead in the Garlands Play Readers production of "The Man Who Came To Dinner". He was wonderful! A natural actor.
At a cast luncheon after the performance the cast was asked to express what they had derived from their experience. Chuck's statement was, "This was the first time in my life I have taken direction -- snd enjoyed it."
It was so good to know him.'.

Dear Terry and family,
My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all of you. Your Dad sounded like a truly special person who enhanced and brightened all the lives he touched. I pray that God grants you peace and comfort as you go through this very difficult time. Although greatly missed here on earth, I trust that your Dad is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

Terry and Bob and Family,
I am saddened by your loss. My deepest sympathies to all.
It appears he passed the way he would have wanted...in the scenic mountains of Colorado. He led a wonderful life of achievement, the greatest his family.

We were just informed of Chuck's passing and would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the family. We were contracted to remodel the lodge for him, and we always enjoyed staying in touch with him after the work was completed. He will be missed by many.

I will always have great memories of Uncle Chuck throughout the years; I smile now just thinking of some of them. He was a wonderful man full of humor and mischief, and I loved being in his presence. He always made me feel accepted. There seemed to be a feeling of closeness even though years would pass between contact with each other. I’ll never forget how he would catch me off guard by asking an “off the wall” question of me then expect an answer and then no mater the response, he acted almost disinterested or like he had no opinion of my answer or on the matter. That was always a lovingly awkward moment! I will miss you, Uncle Chuck. Please know Mike and I are praying for all of you and your families during this difficult time, with confidence I might add, because He is faithful to meet our every need.

To All The Allisons:
I had the pleasure of knowing Chuck through The Garlands. I will always remember him working out in the fitness center (pumping iron) lively, energetic, and smiling; always commanding an audience. His laugh and his wink were his trademark. I hope that you're able to find comfort in all your happy memories. He added a great deal to The Garlands and will be deeply missed by all. Our hearts are with you as you go through this difficult time.
