I am sad to hear of Jerry's passing. I have fond memories of Jerry at IWU and at the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. My experience was that he filled the space around him with a natural welcoming friendliness and humor. I enjoyed and benefited from his positive charisma, engaging personality, quick wit and upbeat spirit. I am grateful for his contribution to life and for the experience of knowing him during our (all too brief, but precious) life journey here on earth -- hope to see him again in heaven.
God be with and bless all Jerry's loved ones and friends.
- Ron Bell, IWU '59

To my dear Aunt Hodo and cousins Bryan, Tianne and David... we are all thinking of you and praying for your comfort and strength. Uncle Gerry left us way too soon. We'll miss his big laugh and big hugs. I smile when I think of his happy reunion with those who have gone before us. I can hear his voice saying "God love ya" just like Grandpa Gerry said it many years ago. He will truly be missed but never forgotten... peace to Uncle Gerry and to all his family and friends.
