Obituary Condolences

Eileen (Dolan) Brown Eileen (Dolan) Brown, 83, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, in her home. Born on Sept. 8, 1926, Eileen Mary was the only daughter of the late John and Bertha (nee Kane) Dolan, and the youngest of four children. Eileen grew up in Chicago. She attended Marywood High School (Class of '45), and Mundelein College (Class of '49, graduating with a degree in English/Journalism). Eileen and Raymond Brown married in 1949 at Saint Ignatius Church in Chicago, and later moved to Arlington Heights where they raised their family. First and foremost, Eileen was a loving mother who cherished her children and grandchildren. While she delighted in meeting new people and traveling, Eileen was happiest in the company of her family and her countless dear friends. She was an active parishioner at St. James Church for 55 years. Her kindness and generosity was seen in her volunteer work for various organizations, including the Arlington Historical Society and SPRED. Eileen is survived by her children, Marianne (Joe) Seiz, Kathleen (David Trezise) Brown, James (Peg) Brown, Barbara (Dan) Aloisio and Margaret (Jay) Bauer; grandchildren, Kelly, Dan, Bryan, Devin, Jodi, Kevin, Jacob, Eric, Connor, Mitchell and Payton; and her brother, William Dolan. Eileen also leaves behind many dearly loved nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her sons, Raymond Jr. and Thomas; her brothers, John and James; and her cousin, Dorothy. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Prayers will be said Thursday Jan. 14, at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the St. James Capital Campaign, 841 N.
