Obituary Condolences

Thomas N. Anastos formerly of Hoffman Estates Visitation for Thomas N. Anastos, 83, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church, 133 S. Roselle Road, Palatine. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Thomas was born on Oct. 18, 1926, in Johnston City, Ill., and passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, in Grayslake, Ill. He was a World War II Navy veteran and co-owner of the Cairo Supper Club (1950 to 1964). He was a great friend, terrific bartender and consummate joke teller. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Van Horn); loving father of Heather (John) Bratsakis and Heidi (Anthony) Braglia; devoted papou of his five grandchildren; dear brother of Gus Anastos and Mary Kriss.
